Doing our Part for the environment

We love nature! and animals and the sky and the sea and we would like our children to still enjoy the same things in the future so we try our best to minimize waste without incurring more cost.   1. We print on both sides of the paper. This leads to lighter shipment, and we can provide lower shipping. If it does go over, it's on us!   2. Slight mistakes on punching the dmc card paper, nope we don't do over and replace. It's either we stick over with correction or leave the skewed little hole where it is...

Selling your Cross Stitch

Did you know that you can actually sell your finished works after you are done? Yup, if you want to earn some extra money on ebay etc, stitch a masterpiece and put it up for sale! You can't make copies of our charts to distribute but you can definitely sell your finished cross stitch work. Here are a few tips -  1. You don't have to credit us at all when you are selling the cross stitch. You worked hard on it, you get the credit. Of course if anyone ask you where you get the pattern/kit, you can always...

Saving Money on Cross Stitch

You love to cross stitch but it’s costing way too much, you thought. How do you maintain this hobby and not fall into the commercial traps of the cross stitch mania. Here are my tried and true ways of making your cross stitch go a long way and then some. After your project is done, snip extra fabric, keep the thread and store the needles. You have to leave at 2-3 inches around your design for framing. But if you have more than that, don’t just leave it there or throw it away. Cut them nicely off your design and store them...

Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Start Cross Stitching

If you are bored and feel that life is passing you by without you doing anything meaningful, it’s time to pick up a needle. Don’t worry it’s got nothing to do with acupuncture or scary injections. More or less, it’s a hobby with a wonderful list of therapeutic values. Here are my top ten reasons why you should start cross stitching today! 1. It’s a great way to focus.  Have you ever seen a cross stitch fabric? Those squares are so small that if you don’t watch what you’re doing, your fingers are going to have some pretty neat holes in...

Best way to stitch our charts

The best way to do our charts is to start from page 1. Do block by block (page by page). Go to the right hand corner of the fabric and measure at least 2-3 inches from top and side. Then mark the meeting point with a pen. (see above). Finish 1 whole page before moving on to the next page. One the next page don’t stitch the highlighted lines as they are repeated lines from the previous page. It’s only there to help you find your place.
